I have a Dell E6400 core2 duo CPU p8600 @2.4 GHZ 789 MHz, 3.45 GB RAM (its actually 4GB losing .5GB somehow) 32 bit winxp professional laptop which is my office issue for my software devlopment work. I usually run Oracle or Mysql, some application server, an IDE -eclipse instance at the minimum I regularly defragment the machine.
It has two problems. Whenever I launch my ide or the server or start my database the machine freezes for a few minutes. So its like start eclipse wit for 5 minutes. Start Oracle wait for five minutes, start server again wait for 5 minutes. 15 minutes over. Start doing work. 1 hr of serious work and it starts crawling till I do a reboot. Another thing reboot/startup time is 10 minutes somehow. After reboot again spend 15 minutes getting the environment up. So for every 1 hr or 2 hr work I must waste 25 minutes in rebooting and getting the environment started.
All my colleagues have similar experience with their similar laptops.
I need a better laptop – faster and more powerful laptop which can not slow me down like this.
Can someone suggest what laptop configuration and make to get a better experience when doing software development.
    Thanks.

I uploaded a video a while back, and i added a song to it off itunes. The song was not removed, but the video was only available on computers and laptops but not mobile devices. For my next video, I would still like music in it but i want it to also be available on mobile devices. How do i do this?
There is no option under syndication to change it, it only says ” No, this video should not be available on mobile phones and TV” with no option to change the setting. I have seen other users on my mobile device that use music in their videos and still have it available on mobile devices and I would like to know how they do that.

Is this true, and if so, how is this possible?

My older brother is a personal trainer and my younger brother is doing a level 2 IT course at college. My dad knows the names that they call me as he has heard them and I have told him, but he never does anything about it, and he said the other week I’m a physco and I have got mentle problems. I have recently started as a volunteer at Oxfam, and I am hoping to volunteet at a youth club soon. I have also recently started studying for my maths level 2 qualification. I am also soon to start a CompTIA A+ 2009 course. I am also hoping to start a ECDL Level 2 soon, a level 2 NVQ in Customer Service, a English GCSE, a level 2 and level 3 NVQ’s in youth work. Website Design level 2 and 3. Text Processing level 2 and 3.

By the way I’m the only one in my family with any kind of disability, I have also told my mum about my brothers before but she don’t do anything either. My youth worker said she is very proud of me as I am such a hard working young person. But do people look at me and think to themselves “He has a disability”? And do people look down on me and respect me less because I have a disability? And also do they like and respect people more that don’t have any kind of disabilitys, and people who have got better qualifications?

I need help, I have thought about killing myself, I feel soo down, upset and confused. I have nearly killed myself so many times, I don’t know how much more I can take I am worthless and my life don’t mean anything. Can anyone give me any advice or help? What should I do? And please don’t say brothers are meant to call me these names as what they call me is just evil.

As far as I have been told I have just got a mild learning disability.

    Thank you in advance
I have just been told that I have got a mild learning disability, that is all I have been told.

I have just recently started a level 2 maths qualification, and in September I am hoping to start a English GCSE, would it be good to have a GCSE in English if I want to become a youth worker? I am also going to start a ECDL level 2 course soon. I am also hoping to start a level 2 and then a level 3 NVQ in youth work, I should have a voluntary youth worker placement soon I hope. But I just want to know if I haven’t got professional youth worker status, could I still be employed to be a youth worker if I am really impressing them when I volunteer?

Do I have the right sort of qualifications to be able to be a youth worker and after I have got my NVQ’s in youth work how much easier would I find it to get a job? Also what sort of places should I apply at to get a youth worker job?

I know this question has been long and thank you for all of your answers and help, I really am very grateful.
Thats the thing I am unemployed, I have never had a paid job but I have got 18 months of work experience (Voluntary) I have worked at the Co-Op and at Tesco’s I have just started recently as a volunteer at Oxfam. But the job centre don’t really help you find a job or get into a career. Where else could I go to?

So I have a great idea for a mobile app. Let’s call it app X. I searched the android market and I don’t see anything like app X. My question however is not how to program an app. My question is how do app developers build databases for their apps. For example, my wife has an app that uses the camera to scan food barcodes. Then, for virtually any food, you get a grade (A+, B+, D-, etc) based on how healthy it is. So my question is how did they build such an extensive database of all the different foods in U.S. grocery stores. For one person this seems like it would take FOREVER.

Someone help. I already know what I need to know about programming. I just need to build a database or access someone else’s. If you have done this or have specific information about how to do this, please post links, answers, opinions, articles, etc.

Again, I DON’T need programming info. Thanks.
Hey, Shabu, maybe you should read the details below the question before you answer? I can’t stand the tools on here that just want points.

Hi i’m interested in both as I like programming and networking. I don’t want to do a 4 year Computer Science or Software Engineering degree because I don’t have time as I started school late and i’m 25 years old. I actually started out with Computer Science but I decided to go for a two degree because I don’t want to be still setting in school through my thirties. I don’t want to be in way in thirties and now finishing a 4 year degree. However I do plan on doing my bachelors Degree in the future probably online and transfer some of my credits. But for now I just want something quick and start working.

Which area specifically would be worth pursuing Web Development and programming or Computer Networking. Like I Said before I like both areas. I have heard both networking and Web Development are in strong demand due to the baby boomers in the process of retiring, new technologies like mobile Web development, HTML5, Mobile app development etc, wireless technologies for networking etc.. And so on.

    Thanks:)

My parents both hate my guts because I should have graduated from grad school by now and I flunked out of Columbia U as an undergrad.

I have never been too attracted to the idea of programming. My father made his own program which earned him millions. I’m a composer and sound engineer, but the money is not steady. I have made patches using Max/MSP/Jitter but that is as far as my programming goes.

My question is… What language will help me do what? How does it go from code to an actual pretty application? And besides making programs that are art installations themselves why would someone like me want to program?

What would be something fun to do with a language like C# or Java?

which one is more useful? My father stands behind C# but not many people seem to have heard of it. What would/could I be doing with programmiing skills to quickly earn money?

Thank you, I’m going broke and might be homeless this winter so any help would be greatlly appreciated. My parents will not bail me out either,

I study computer science in college, I’m just beginning and am focusing on programming. I want to start programming for Android. I know Java and C++, bought and read a few How-To books for mobile development. I’m looking to make some cash for programming mobile apps, doesn’t matter how much. I think of it as a stepping stone to get started in programming. Some questions still linger though…

Should I program a game for Java first then convert it to Android, or straight to the Android format?
What’s a good program to create 2D PNG graphics?
For a high quality 2D game, do I need to program the mainframe with C++ and wrap Java around it, or will Java do the job?
Should I learn Lua? (Theres many Lua files in Angry Birds code which confuses me.)
Currently I use Eclipse but am buying Corona SDK. But I have free access to Visual Studios, Basic. Is there anyway I can benefit from these programs besides developing applications for Windows?

Finally, any advice would be nice, or useful resources. Thanks!

I am going to be going to a 4 year university, and these are the two majors I will possibly be persuing. I need help on deciding to get one or the other, or both. A little about the program: it is through a well known university, that has a business school with a really good reputation. Both CS and CIS are considered “smaller” majors where there isn’t as much competition and focus because it seems like everyone is a business major or some type of medical major. With that being said, it is definately possible to double major in the two of them because it is not like a CS major at MIT where it is one of the most competitive programs.

My goal is to be able to do freelance work and work on my own projects by my junior/senior year. I am interested in mobile development, web app development, and just general programming for problem solving. Eventually I want to get into the start up scene as a mobile platform developer. I feel if I majored in CS, I would have plenty of time to do this type of stuff on the side. On the other hand if I double majored I think I would be much more employable if I was looking to do corporate work for a while before getting into the startup scene. And from a third take, many of the CIS classes actually focus on things that I think would be useful even with a start up (database construction and analysis etc.)

    Opinions?

    Hey,

I’ve been slaving over working a few programming languages and I’ve got people pulling me in different directions on which one is in the most demand.

At this point I want to be able to pick up work (graphic/web designer evolving into programming).

One friend is telling me to just learn FBML and AJAX because he sees Facebook as becoming the lead technology for web applications.

I’ve been learning Ruby, and Ruby on Rails…I’m using NetBeans 6.8 as my IDE.

I’m also trying out languages like jquery, that use Javascript. CSS and PHP integration with XHTML and XML and here we are at dynamic website design.

I guess I’m trying to narrow down if the future of web development will be more geared toward mobile app development and social media apps or if I should keep grinding along with dynamic website development.

Which is more lucrative right now. Gotta get paid.

    thanks!

I am studying a practitioner course at college and am looking to go onto university after to study computer physics and science or computer programming. Eventually i would like to be programming video games and/or software/applications for the Windows OS, which language can you suggest in which i should take on board as a good stepping stone throughout college for two years on my approach to uni. 1.Hardware
    2.Application Development

    4.Infrastructure management
Basically i can do well with coding and mathematical and logical calculations.I have a confidence that I can grasp any concepts in this field. Now my confusion is which path to choose and which has a demand in the upcoming years.I attended some seminars and some out there say Infrastructure Management is the future. Can anyone help me out of this confusion. If there are any other areas more demanding and interesting please post them.

There is a user on here I think her name is Jan409 or something like that, and on one of my previous questions she said my qualifications that are at level 1 aren’t worth the paper they are written on, is she right? That really upset me.

    hi all,
    I am a 2010batch, BE(comp sci) graduate passout, (a girl) ,from Maharashtra,India.

I recently got selected in a small software development company which is into development of games in iphone and some mobile applications.

These people are basically into Android, php, objective C and java.

And the company is offering me 1.8 salary pa.

My interest is to work in java.

But there’s no guarantee of the company that they would put me in it being a fresher.

Additional and a HUGE problem according to me is that they have a bond of 1.5 years which has a compensation of 75,000 to be paid if i left the company earlier to the bond period!!

Joining will be in september 2010.

Will I have a good future if i go in this field!! or will i b diverted into telecom side!!!

I need ur strong advise on this…

would there be any more chances for me in rest of the IT companies and should i try them?

Should i try for rest of the companies?

Should I leave this offer or go for it?

    pleaase suggest!!!

    pls…pls……

Hello everyone, I’m 20 years old and I live in England. I have got a mild learning disability and I left school in July 2008. I live with my 2 brothers and with my dad, my brothers call me things like, ret.r.d and spast.c, stupid and useless, my younger brother has said things like that he wishes I was dead and how no one would ever give me a job as I’m too stupid and useless. my older brother has also threatened me with violence before and then called me a spast.c

I haven’t got a job I have never had paid employment, but I have got 18 months of work experience (voluntary) I have worked at the Co-Op and at Tesco’s. I have currently got 2 volunteering placements that I got all by myself without anyone’s help. I volunteer at Oxfam once a week, and I volunteer at a youth centre once a week and work with young people, the young people like me as they always ask if I’m coming back the next week and they always want to play games with me such as pool and table football etc, and they always talk to me.

I have told my dad many times what my brothers call me but he never does anything, and he has even heard them say those things to me but he still doesn’t do anything, and he even once called me a physco. He talks to them a fair bit but when it comes to me he doesn’t want to talk to me and he tells me to go away and he gets moody at me for no reason at all.

I took a year-long course in Visual Basic. I don’t know how deep we went, but we got to point where we made card games (I made Crazy Eights). So I got arrays, variables, and loops down. I know AP Computer Science is Java based now, but putting that aside, which would be easier to learn?

And what are the applications of both languages? To my understanding, Java is good for browsers (that’s it).
Oh, and is Python worth learning?

  36. Dom L says:

So for christmas i got an htc pure, one of the newest windows phones. Initially i didn’t want an iphone because i already had an ipod touch and didn’t want to work on software that was so familiar. Also, the rest of the mobile phone companies have had 3 years to compete with the iphone and i thought there had to be something better out there.

I like the htc pure, i just think the iphone still does more. The windows market place is new and a development in progress so it only has less than a fraction of the amount of apps in the app store. So how long until windows market place can compete with the app store? Although it is a windows phone and can download and install non-microsoft-published (.cab) applications from anywhere on the web.

Another reason i want to switch to the iphone is the capacitive highly sensitive touch screen. I’m not impressed with the resistive screen keyboard on my htc pure at all. Its just so small and so hard to type out sentences without spelling errors.

Also i’m not impressed with the media quality. Playing mp3s are ok, but going online and looking at youtube videos (which must be done through the browser) proved the video quality to be terrible.

Also i just don’t find my self needing the windows mobile essentials which it has over the iphone, like multi-tasking.. microsoft office.. ect.

I’m also unhappy with the battery life on my htc pure. I feel like i can’t waste any time on the internet browser, to save the battery. The iPhone 3GS claims to have longer battery life so theres another reason to switch.

The only pro i see from keeping the htc pure is the 5.0mp camera. The still pictures have excellent quality.

Basically the only con i see from switching is the camera.

But some how i feel like the ‘iPhone being the greatest smartphone’ is from its sales statistics which is from its insane amount of marketing. But looking at my ipod touch, the browser, the apps, the features im looking for are overkill compared to my htc pure.

So do you think i should switch to the iPhone from my windows phone?

I’m a senior in high school and would like to know the best way to get into this? I’ve practically grown up playing video games and I would love to learn how to start coding and working on projects. All I have right now is being a game tester (heard that would look very good on a resume). I however, want to know what are some good ways to get into this field. Whether it be a university or some other type of program. I have no problems moving anywhere, I am not attached to where I live, so it can basically be anywhere. Just need some incite and how I can get noticed and out in the world doing what I love.
I’ve been looking at SCAD and Full Sail University lately.

I’m making an android phone game and I want my screen resolution to fit the smallest screen resolution there has been that an android phone had. Then if there’s another android phone with a larger resolution, I’ll just re-size it in a scalar manner and just fill the empty parts with black. So then, what is the smallest screen resolution there has been that android phones had?

  47. Mistry says:

CES 2009 brought us a new player in the smartphone upper-echelon. Let’s drill down and see how the Palm Pre compares with the iPhone and Android’s G1.

    1. Multitouch touchscreen/gesture control: All three are capacitive, only the Pre and iPhone have multitouch. The Pre’s glowy little “gesture area” has dropped the touchable real estate all the way down tto the bottom of the phone, which is great for being able to navigate with one hand and not interfere with the screen at all. The wavey dock you bring up from the bottom looks awesome, but can you use it out of the box without a second thought or page through the manual? That’s my question. Advantage: iPhone/Pre tossup.

    2. Multitasking: One of the beefiest of our beefs with the iPhone SDK is its insistence on Apps running one at a time. The G1’s notifications drawer was definitely a step in the right direction, but the Pre’s interface is the first smartphone OS that was built with multitasking as a core design element. Resembling the Xbox’s old Blades, or a less-jarring OS X Expose even, the Pre’s “Cards” interface always places you in the context of every app running for fast switching, and notifications from other apps don’t pull you away completely from the task at hand. Multitasking is hugely important on a phone, and it’s a good sign that Palm recognizes. Advantage: Pre

    3. Hardware: Adrian says:

While the hardware is definitely high quality, I’m not entirely blown away by the design. It looks really nice, and original, but it’s a little too cutesy in shape and kind of reminds me of an oversized pebble. A slightly larger screen could have definitely been put to good use, and I really don’t like the black space on the sides of the screen.

A phone with a built-in QWERTY still hasn’t touched the iPhone in terms of sleekness and pure sex. And it might still be a while. Advantage: iPhone

    4. Development platform: The Pre’s “Web OS” sure sounds nice—all developers need to know is JavaScript, HTML and CSS? Sounds good in theory, but building a mobile app will never be as easy as cranking out a new theme for your Tumblr. Palm’s stressing ease of development, though, so it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against Apple’s solid, familiar-to-devs OS X-based SDK and Android’s fully open source approach. Advantage: Pre? If it’s straight-up JavaScript, that’s a lot of programmers ready to go. Note: we had iPhone here before, but we’ve switched with a qualification. Developer community still goes to iPhone for volume.

    5. Web Integration: The Pre subtly integrates the internet into the phone at every opportunity, and it’s awesome. Contacts get pulled in from Facebook, Gmail, IM and and scanned for dupes; the messaging app shows your last several emails, IMs and SMS with that contact in a single window. Really, really smart stuff. Advantage: Pre

    6. App Store/developer community: A smartphone is only as good as the software it runs. On the Pre, Palm is still keeping application delivery details like pricing behind the curtain, but they did say the app delivery will be entirely handled by the phone (without a desktop app), which is a shame. They’re saying that they’re not going to duplicate Apple’s Hobbesian app approval black box mistake, which Android has also hasn’t fallen for, but there will be an approval process based on “security and stability.” But as we know with Android, a dev community needs enough devices in the hands of consumers to reach critical mass, which the Pre will have to match. Advantage: iPhone, even with the black box, but Android and Pre’s more open stances are reassuring.

    7. Wireless charger: We’ve seen wireless charger tech for years at CES, but it’s taken this long for a major consumer gadget to come bundled with its own wireless charger in the box. Whoops, it’s not in the box, sold separately for unknown $$. But still: Bravo. Advantage: Pre

    8. The Network: Dan Hesse, Sprint’s CEO, gave our coast-to-coast 3G test a shout out in his press conference. Of course he did: Sprint won (in download speeds). Sprint was the only major carrier without a powerful, hype-catching smartphone choice, and now they have one. The Pre is a data-centric phone with a network we’ve proven to be strong in a large swatch of the country—that’s a good combo. But would you switch to Sprint for the Pre? Ugh. Advantage: Not cut and dry for everyone, but we stand by our numbers: Sprint is the best 3G network in our tests.

    9. Physical keyboard: It’s preference, but one held by a large swathe of the gadget buying public: physical QWERTY keypads are still the mainstream input of choice. Touch is getting better all the time, but a lot of people still want physical keyboards. But better yet is the ability to choose; unfortunately, the Pre doesn’t have a soft onscreen keyboard, and its slide-out is the same meh QWERTY from the Treo Pro. Advantage: It’s preference, but on me, the iPhone’s soft keyboard can’t be beat.

    10. Camera: The P
re has an LED Flash for its 3MP camera, something both the iPhone and G1 lack. Flash cellphone photos are ugly, but for a lot of people, they’re good enough. So credit for throwing it in. Advantage: Pre

    11. Battery: Apple’s still an outlier with their non-removable battery; like the G1’s, the Pre’s comes out for a spare swap too. We’ve heard Apple’s reasons for this a million times, we know the drill, but removable batteries will never stop being handy. Advantage: Pre

    12. Copy & Paste: Yep, Pre’s got it. iPhone still doesn’t. Advantage: Pre/G1

    13. Browser: All three use a browser based on WebKit, which has become the standard for the mobile web. We couldn’t put it through our Mobile Browser Battlemodo ringer obviously, but what we saw looked great, and it’s the only other mobile browser besides the iPhone that supports multitouch zooming. Advantage: iPhone/Pre

So there you have it. We’re excited. Are you?

Want to get into web/mobile application development, and wondering which has the better outlook

  50. Yoshi says:

This explanation is quite detailed, but i’ve tried to keep it short :L

I am currently into software development and i am very much enjoying it, i have also decided that this is what i would like to do as my career when i leave college in about a year and a few months.

I’m doing a level 3 course by the way; this course will give me the equivalent of 4 A levels at A grade if i pass it.

Anyway, i cannot choose between the following two courses:

    Mobile Applications Development

    http://courses.glam.ac.uk/courses/787-bsc-hons-mobile-application-development

    Software Engineering

    http://courses.glam.ac.uk/courses/559-bsc-hons-software-engineering

Now i know that the mobile applications development course is basically software engineering as well but its a course that is dedicated to mobile apps, etc.. whereas the software engineering is based on all round software development..

I would love to do the mobile applications development course as i find the aspect of it interesting, but i know that apps have only just started to become big and there is a possibility that they may not be very popular forever, whereas with the software engineering course; there will ALWAYS for a very long time, be software that needs to be developed on computers.

For this reason, i am thinking that the software engineering course is probably of more use to me.

What do you think, which one will be more beneficial for my future?

Thanks for any answers given, they will be appreciated 😀

More nd more websites are making different pages for your mobile device, but why? Most of the time they don’t let you see everything on the site, it’s harder to get to what you’re looking for, or you can only look at 10 products on each page, which takes forever! Most sites will at least give you the option, after sending you to the mobile one, to go to the standard version of their site, but not all of them. I know how to track the IP address of a static IP sent from say a home computer. However, I am unable to track the IP of the sender if they send the message from a mobile device. If sent from a mobile device, all I can decipher is the IP address of the internet service provider. Any suggestions on how to perhaps get the phone number of the mobile device from which the email was sent or how to ascertain information about the sender from the service provider itself?

I’m thinking about writing a satirical short story about the world after the internet shuts down and never starts up and every mobile device like smart phones and tablets stopped working as well, leaving only older devices like flip phones and computers operable but not able to connect to the internet. Any ideas? Here’s how it will go:
The internet is gone, not coming back.
Smart phones like iPhones and Galaxy fry and never work again
Tablets like the iPad shut down and never operate again
Basically devices made before 2006 can still work but can’t access the internet such as MP3 players and computers.

I am graduating in one year with a BS in Computational Mathematical Sciences. I have been looking for an entry level programming job for months, to no avail. Now I am determined to improve my skills and resume within one year so I can get a decent job. Here’s my relevant course work:
    CSE110 Progamming w/ Java I
    CSE205 Programning w/ Java II
CSE240 Intro to Programming Languages (C/C++, LISP)
    CSE310 Data Structures and Algorithms
CPI310 Web Info Management (PHP, SQL, XML)
MAT420 Scientific Computing (Problem solving with C)

There are a bunch of programming classes I could take through community college before i graduate, but I don’t know if they will help. I can’t take anymore Computer Science courses at my university because they are all reserve for CS majors. Should I take some of the community college classes? There are classes on Visual Basic, C#, Game Development, Web Development, ASP.NET, JavaScript, etc. this is al stuff I have been seeing on job descriptions.

I have a few projects underway. For one, I am developing a mobile version of my church’s website. That’s a pretty major project. Plus I have some other personal projects that I plan to have done within a year to prove my skills. Will a good portfolio of programming projects, plus my math degree be enough to land me a job?

I have been VERY frustrated with my job search, and I don’t want the cycle to continue. So I know the solution is to improve myself.
Also I think I will have a [paid] internship next summer.
I don’t expect to get a job as a a senior developer right off the bat obviously.

Basically what I mean is how can I compete with CS majors?

    Essay:
Many students may have similar or straight-forward reasons for choosing their major while others have unique incentives. I cannot make any promises that mines are either of the two, but what I can assure you of is that they are genuine. Math has always been my favorite subject. The problem-solving process is enjoyable for me whether in academics or in everyday life. Some people are fortunate enough to know what they want to study from early on in their academic career. Then there are those, like me, who find their calling around the end of junior college.

I chose to major in Business Administration solely because I thought it would mostly consist of mathematics and some basic business courses, allowing me to express my creativity through entrepreneurship. I did very well in my first couple of semesters as a full-time student. My GPA was maintained above a 3.5 and I was an active member of the Phi Beta Lambda business club at my school. To be honest, my experience with the School of Business at Miami Dade College (my two-year institution) was nothing short of phenomenal. With great faculty and alumni at my doorstep, I felt like I was in the right place. Unfortunately, three semesters in, I realized courses weren’t exactly geared towards math like I thought they would be. Instead, they focused more around the habits and regulations of business, and the only math skills really needed were basic algebra. I had a craving for something more methodical and hands-on.

With graduation only one semester away, I began to research fields with heavy traffic of math ranging from Architecture to Engineering. It wasn’t until my older sister (a 2004 FIU graduate who is now going back to school) showed me a mobile app she was developing for a school project that my interests shifted towards software development. Soon thereafter, I was teaching myself some basic C++ programming using CodeBlocks software and guidance books. After touching up on C++, I’d sit in front of my computer at the end of each day and watch online instructional videos until sunrise. Even with my eyes red and irritated by morning, my interest in computer material would not rest. I found myself wanting to learn more but one can only go so far with self-teaching. Then it hit me; I want to study computer science.

In need of a more in-depth understanding of this material, I knew the next step was to look at universities offering the best computer science programs in the nation. I plan on taking advantage of all resources available at my future institution as well as opportunities for volunteer work or research projects in order to have a thorough computer science experience. Upon completing my degree, I want to pursue a career in either software engineering or information security. With a strong background in computer science, I aspire to design great things like reverse engineer malware or Linux Distros from scratch. Recognized as a graduate from a top institution, I’ll carry with me and embrace the spirit of the university in my future career.

    Hi Guys.
I am having problems designing my website. I am almost finished with the design for the full site and i have recently designed a “Mobile Friendly” version. The mobile version i have uploaded to m.ticketsbenidorm.com (obviously the full website is ticketsbenidorm.com).
I was wondering how to make it that when typing ticketsbenidorm.com from a mobile device, it automatically changes to m.ticketsbenidorm.com so the visitor can use that version.
Also, if it wouldn’t ´t be too much to ask, I am doing the site in many languages, can I use sub domains for each e.g. es.ticketsbenidorm.com and when someone in Spain visits ticketsbenidorm.com, it automatically comes up as es.ticketsbenidorm.com?
Im using Arvixe hosting (who have been brilliant btw) and Serif WebPlus X6 for design.
Please help im going out of my mind
    Many thanks in advance

I have and iPod Touch 4G and a Dell Studio laptop running Windows 7. Every time I try to update my iPod, it goes as normal; downloading the update, backing up my iPod, preparing the iPod by putting it into recovery mode… this is where the problems start happening. The computer starts searching for the Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) driver, but doesn’t find it. Then iTunes tells me that the iPod cannot be restored and it gets stuck in recovery mode. When this happened once before, I plugged the iPod into my Dad’s computer and restored from there (annoyingly loosing all of my data). And since then I have not tried updating on my laptop, but now I live at university, and iOS 5 has just come out. It has been almost a year since it happened last, so I thought I would try again. Except now the iPod is stuck in recovery mode and I don’t have my Dad’s computer to plug it into. Is there anyway I can download these Recovery Mode drivers? Thanks a lot.
Also, the device is not showing up in my iTunes at all, not even as a new device or one in recovery mode.

Neither my iPad 2, my iPod Touch, nor my Wii will connect to the Internet today. It was working completely fine yesterday, until late at night when i went on my iPad and it said No Results Could Be Found. It’s still not working today. I didn’t change anything at all so I don’t understand why this would happen randomly. I’m on my PC right now and the internet is working fine. But as I said, none of the 3 mobile devices I’ve tried are connecting. HOWEVER, the little connectivity symbol is still appearing in the top left corner of my iPad and iPod, and it shows full connectivity. I have a LinkSys router/Wi-Fi signal.
All the help I can find online is just for 1 device only like an iPad, but this is happening on all my mobile devices at the same time. Please help!
