I want to create/design/(insert verb) original bookmarks for commercial use and I was wondering which program is more suitable for my interest. I did some research and although the entire suite of Adobe programs are designed that they are best used interchangeably, I kind of got the consensus that Photoshop is for manipulating images & designs and Illustrator is for creating images & designs.

    So what would suit myself?

How can I do that with Adobe Illustrator?

Hey all. I’ve been wanting to make comics and do art work on my Pc, but don’t have any great software. I’m wondering if both Illustrator and Photoshop CS5 are still worth buying. I can’t afford CS6, so would CS5 still give me everything that I would need? I’ve heard of people using older versions for years without upgrading so I would think getting one of the newer versions would be a step in the right direction. I’m just a little worried though, I don’t want to spend the money and find out it’s not what I’m looking for. I know they’re great programs to have.

    Thank you for your time.

Is there a way to buy Adobe Illustrator? Just Adobe Illustrator. I don’t want to buy the the whole bundle of stuff that I might not use. Like CC (Creative cloud). I already have Photoshop on this computer. I just want to buy just that program (extended, I don’t want to pay a monthly fee just to use a program). :/ will it be expensive that way? I’ve seen listings of the program selling them for $26.00 and I am kind of skeptical about it so, are they Safe to buy it from other places that isn’t Adobe’s site?

I don’t know what it is called, but when I open images in Indesign, the images automatically have two boxes, the one for the real image, the other one for cropping. I’m wondering how to do this in Illustrator, both in Windows and Mac. A shortcut key would also help. Thanks.

I got an adobe collection as a gift and I have NO idea what I’m doing with illustrator. I understand photoshop because I had a teacher. I need a teacher for illustrator. Please and thank you!

I have just bought adobe illustrator cs3 and know virtually nothing:

the reason i bought this programme is because i draw cartoon sketches quite and it was suggested to me that it might be better to add colour on adobe rather than by hand this making the colouring sharper and in vector (!?) format…

i was wondering if anyone could give me a basic run-though on how to colour the picture? or a link to a website where i can get a tutorial?

i have scanned in the doodle i am wanting to use, and have opened it in adobe illustrator but that’s as far as i get…

    thanks,
    xx

Is there a free “read only” version so that I can open the artwork for my business the graphic designer emailed me?

Sort of like the way you can download adobe acrobat or reader so that you can see a doc.

I want to create graphs, etc., in Adobe Illustrator, then want to copy and paste them into Adobe InDesign or MS Publisher. I don’t want to have to save the image first. However, when I try to simply cut and paste into InDesign or Publisher, the image doesn’t turn out (and I just get numbers and text). Any suggestions? Should I be using Corel Draw instead?

Okay so I just now got Adobe Illustrator. It’s so confusing and I don’t get what your supposed to do. I watched several videos and it still doesn’t make any sense. I want to make a cool poster for school. Any tutorials on how to make a poster on Adobe Illustrator??

I’m thinking about buying Adobe Illustrator and starting to learn how to draw on it.

Is it really hard to learn how to draw on Adobe Illustrator? Also, do you have to be really good at drawing by hand to be good on Illustrator?
